  1. The rings are correct. That was made in an attempt to make the rings look more shiny and gold like, but some tweaks have been made already as they were a bit messy looking in the demo.
  2. We've been making some great progress lately. We present the public debut of stage 2, Granite Zone. http://pc0.hapisan.com/Overture/Granite%20Act%201%20Preview.mp3 Download Granite Zone is located deeper within the island, featuring the ruins of temples in an overgrown jungle alongside a volcano. Wrought iron craftsmanship and ancient trees weave through the scenery, as lava from the volcano overflows into the ruins, making them difficult to traverse. Mysterious flying objects can be seen far away hovering in the sky. We're also happy to announce that Sonic Overture will have a new home, as a new engine is in development that will free us from the limitations of MMF2 and Sonic Worlds. Stay tuned for updates.
  3. -August 7th SAGE 2014 Act 2 Demo Download- Mirror Download Sonic Overture is a fan made prequel to the original Sonic the Hedgehog, created to tell the story of Sonic's adventures on Christmas Island. Sonic Overture takes place on Christmas Island, Sonic's birthplace. Dr. Eggman is mining the island for the precious substance known as phossil to power his machines as he investigates the mysterious South Island and the Special Zone. Sonic sets out to foil Eggman's plans. Meanwhile, a stranger from Christmas Island is following Sonic... This game plays on much of the scrapped prototype material of Sonic the Hedgehog, such as canned designs and unused level imagery. -------------------------------------------------- Screenshots -------------------------------------------------- Levels: -------------------------------------------------- Other Stuff: Mr Lange's Sonic model: Team Credits:
  4. I made two Kirby's Dream Land 3 remixes, the soundtrack and the game itself don't get enough recognition. Hyper Zone 2 https://soundcloud.com/jassbec/zero-battle-hyper-zone-2-kirbys-dream-land-3 Sand Canyon 3 https://soundcloud.com/jassbec/sand-canyon-3-kirbys-dream-land-3
  5. I guess so. Makes me wonder what would happen with Sonic if he ever gets purchased by Nintendo. How would that turn out?
  6. Bruh, don't be that guy. I believe the classic series are better crafted in terms of design. Are modern games as bad as people put them? N--Ye--Well, there's definitely some valid points and some that are just bullshit. Modern and Classic games are so different you might as well call them their own thing. The classics will always be the better thing, but that doesn't mean the Modern games are the most horrid thing in the universe, just that they're not as good as what Sonic once was. (Let me tell you, it was pretty good.) It's like if Sonic satAM gets a new season but turns out they ignore everything that made the original show good and make it into another Sonic X. Both are radically different and a Sonic X-2 would not follow what made satAM good. X may not be garbage but isn't nearly as good. I guess I'm personally still a fan because I believe the fans can do a better work with what SEGA and Sonic Team once started. I enjoy the world the games take place in, I enjoy the characters when they're not being butchered. And to be honest, one thing I rather enjoy from the Modern games are SOME of the risks they have taken, like Riders and its futuristic setting and the Adventure games with all that lore building. It's hard to really pin down why I'm still really a fan, but I guess I am one. [/rambling]

  10. This is going to be interesting to say the least. To be honest, I think Minecraft had gotten too popular for its own good. And the hell is it going to be about?
